ODM Project Leader

As OPL you are the prime point of contact for the Technicolor R&D on a specific ODM project for specific customer project. The OPL, who has a key role in the R&D organization, manages on a daily basis the different project activities at the ODM. On short term, the OPL, supported by a multifunctional team of engineers (hardware, mechanical, regulatory), assures that agreed deliverables (e.g. gateways) by the ODM are inline with Technicolor R&D expectations (lead-time, product cost and product performance) which in turn is driven by Customer deliverables and expectations. On the longer term, the OPL is in charge to assure that the right processes are defined and implemented to secure market leadership and fast time to market of products towards customers.


Main activities of the OPL are:
• Daily management and tracking of project milestones and deliverables of the ODM, if needed involve right technical people to address the encountered issues
• Represent the Technicolor R&D view towards the ODM
• Drive project initiation (ODM selection / first technical discussions)
• Management of requirement changes during the course of the project
• Assuring process adherence  between ODM and Technicolor
• Project / ODM administration (release notes, change requests, reporting to R&D org, …)
• KPI (key performance indication) tracking
• Support on production issues requiring R&D assistance


The OPL site manager close to ODM:
- you're the first point of contact for escallations related to ODM projects that cannot be handled by actually assigned OPL.
- you assure a good atmosphere in both TCH and ODM partners, stimulate personal development and detect early motivational issues

- Take care the escalation from ODM partners and communicate to the concerned parties of TCH

- Over KPI management of the developing project

- Ensure the consistency of our requirement between TCH and ODM partners, between ODM partners
