Project Controller

Through our Business Division "Technicolor Creative Studios", we offer a full set of leading services such as digital content production, video and sound postproduction, and immersive media experiences (such as AR/VR and multimedia installations), to film studios, advertisers, product brands and video game companies, among others.
 

To strenghten our Finance Department and support the "Animation & Game" Business Unit, we are opening a Project Controller position, located at Technicolor Headquarters in Paris. 

 

THE ROLE

 

The Project Controller will look after aspects of film finance. Hi/her primary role is to work closely with project managers/operations to monitor Animation projects in term of profitability, forecast and revenue recognition.

 

The role requires an ability to operate at all levels, by staying connected to the details as well as being able to step back and see the bigger picture. It also requires an ability to react quickly to the day to day requirements of the business.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
•    Support the financial controller in preparing detailed cost estimates for the run of the projects;
•    Prepare Analysis to the financial controller on the profitability of each show, and provide insight into opportunities and risks;
•    Perform cost analysis of ongoing shows;
•    Controlling, recording and reconciling costs to ensure cost control and preparing regular costs and progress reports for management;
•    Report, forecast and analyse all future revenues and associated costs on ongoing projects.
•    Month end duties including reporting and forecasting all (future) revenues and costs on film projects
•    Participate in the preparation of the budget with the local financial controller 
•    Provide support on tax credit eligibility related to 
•    Support the Exec Team with ad hoc financial analysis to support key business decisions.

 

PROFILE
•    BAC+5 (business school or master degree with major in Finance)
•    First experience (3/5 years) gained in external audit firm or in controlling position
•    Strong analytical skills: you like to understand performance based on financial and non-financial metrics.
•    Experience of business partnering and commercial acumen, with proven capability to communicate financial performance to senior executives.
•    Fluent in English and French
•    Very strong Excel skills; Google sheet knowledge would be an advantage
•    Working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
•    Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders such as HR, Production, IT, and Management;
•    Animation Industry knowledge is an asset
