Global Commodity Manager / IT & Technology

Role Mission

Technicolor is currently looking for a Global Commodity Manager IT & Technology who will be

responsible for leading the design and execution of a global enterprise sourcing and procurement strategy (business process and technology) for digital production Software, IT services, Network, telecom, cloud, equipment, warranty and maintenance.  The manager will be a pivotal role in ensuring purchasing compliance and communication between Stakeholders, vendors and sourcing & also

responsible for mapping internal stakeholder demand against external supply (products and/or services), to identify high-value commercial options (based on cost, quality, velocity and innovation) at an enterprise level.  Commercial relationships are owned, managed by Sourcing and leveraged by Procurement and the business unit functions.

Responsibilities

  • Improve the overall maturity of the commodity structure over time.
  • Minimize enterprise risk through execution of disciplined and comprehensive commercial processes that align to group policies.
  • Identify untapped savings and/or consumption reduction opportunities
  • Track forecasted vs actual savings for the assigned spend category and be responsible for communicating performance against these measures and their potential budgetary impact.
  • Manage vendor development/relationships collaboratively with business end-users to ensure continuity of good and services that meet or exceed the quality, service and price performance standards of the company
  • Business Partnership: Establish and maintain relationships with key functional leaders to align priorities and proactively identify opportunities to add value to their initiatives in support or revenue generation, efficiency, demand management and expense reduction.
  • Work collaboratively with the internal stakeholders to define and propose the Sourcing strategy based on Category segmentation, Category market intelligence - offer landscape, demand landscape, technology trends by established suppliers, new entrants, investments, etc.
  • Benchmark vs Technicolor competitors: supplier base, make or buy vs rent decisions
  • Benchmark vs adjacent segment players
  • Propose strategy, actions and owners to implement it.
  • Have the strategy approved by BU engagement lead including actions and owners at least once yearly.
  • Communicate the strategy regularly to internal stakeholders:  e.g. Category townhalls on key sites, trainings, maintain a preferred supplier lists and simplified strategy statement (1 page), etc.
  • Lead the execution of the approved strategy, report quarterly and escalate issues
  • Category portfolio negotiation: Cadenced, exhaustive negotiations of the portfolio leveraging Technicolor WW business in the category.
  • Leverage appropriate tools e.g. e-Sourcing RFQs, e-Auctions, Total Cost of Ownership, etc.
  • Create if possible, a "Should-Cost" model applicable to the category to challenge supplier pricing based on cost breakdown and/or market price datapoints.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA Preferred
  • CPM or CPSM is a plus
  • Minimum 5-10 years work experience in sales, supply-chain, with emphasis strategic sourcing.
  • Bilingual French and English.
  • Global Exposure and experience in working on international environment and assignments.
  • Minimum 2 years management/supervisory/ PM experience.
  • Prior experience with Multinational company into Manufacturing, Media & Entertainment.
  • Strong analytical, data synthesis capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of industry, market trends in sourcing and procurement landscapes, cross-industry.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Cost focus, where bottom-line impact is key.
  • High degree of independence and accountability.
  • Experience of buying indirect goods and services
  • Lead assigned sourcing projects and drive them to successful completion, including market analysis, the RFX process, negotiations, contract creation, and contract management for indirect sourcing.
  • Has good understanding of contract language and knows the “ins and outs” of contract negotiations.
  • Rationalize supplier, vendor landscape to enable realized cost savings opportunities as a result of aggregated spend.
