Procurement Buyer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision, employee will facilitate procurement process and support the business needs of Technicolor business units, using Procurement/Sourcing practices and methods.  Employee will promote procurement policy compliance through engagement.  The employee will interface with departments within Technicolor’s business units including engineering, production, sourcing, operations and finance.  As business champion, this employee will support Sourcing and Procurement process and solution integration, regression testing, enhancement identification and deployment, and continuous process improvements.

 

REPORTS TO:

Procurement Manager based out of the Los Angeles, California, inside the Global Group Sourcing Organization.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintain and reinforce day-to-day proximity to the business
  • Manage Sourcing for non-core initiatives: 
    • Global Category initiative with a budget between $10k and $100k on a rolling year
    • Or Regionally led Category with a budget above $10k  
  • Negotiate with vendors to maintain competitive pricing, quantity, and payment terms, utilizing procurement best practices and tools
  • Conduct spot buys / quick quotations for business stakeholder needs, collecting competitive bids for Procurement scope, which includes Global Categories (budget between $10k and $100k) and Regionally led Categories (budget above $10k)
  • Conduct Sourcing Events (RFQ/RFP) to bid out items and services to support the business needs.
  • Support Technicolor internal users along the P2P process: Coupa content (Easysource eProcurement platform), buying channels, PO processing, catalogues
  • Guide employees on vendor creation request process and act as the Sourcing approver step in the process
  • Participate in continuous improvement of Source 2 Pay (S2P) process and solutions
  • Review/Approve shopping baskets for purchase approval in Easysource eProcurement Platform as Sourcing representative and challenge stakeholder needs when necessary
  • Capture information from Local Stakeholders (specific local/regional demand & issues, information on Vendor performance or potential alternative supply base) and pass it to Head of Regional Procurement as input for Category Steering Meetings and Leadership Team meetings
  • Manage regional Tier 2 Vendors (implementation, compliance, follow up on contract lifecycle)
  • Work in coordination with Global Sourcing Category Managers to accomplish Sourcing Org strategic goals including achieving savings, consolidating spend and leveraging preferred vendor relationships
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with WW Regional Procurement team, Category Managers, key vendor, and stakeholders at all levels
  • Cross train within the WW Procurement Org to, enhance Sourcing/Procurement skills, identify opportunities for synergies with colleagues, and maintain a consistency of service to stakeholders
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders by being proactive and reactive
  • Manage projects on a timely basis as assigned by Procurement Manager, or Sourcing Leadership.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual- Must speak fluent English and French
  • Previous procurement experience desired. 
  • Excellent command of Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Previous experience with eProcurement systems (Coupa if possible)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to make sound independent decisions within established guidelines
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with change
  • Must be comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders at all levels of management

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Supply Management or Related Field desired
