QA Auditor

SUMMARY: Verifies accuracy of product pertaining to transactions recorded by other workers by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Examines and audits Inventory Control, Distribution, Returns processes to ensure compliance to applicable customer requirements.
Generates neatly written reports of these activities.
Lists discrepancies for adjustment and communicates issues with the appropriate department supervisors.
Must be able to work extensive overtime and any shift

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some college courses a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Previous background or training in the auditing techniques and sample plan usage. Prior Packaging QC experience preferred. ISO-9000 familiarity helpful. Computer skills: Must have Excel, Microsoft Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
