Manufacturing Test Development Engineer

Job Description

 

Design, Develop and Validate MFG Test Processes for factories and AS centers

  • Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) in autonomy with project teams
  • Is accountable of end product quality
  • Ensure Test solutions to be always generic for
    • switching production lines quickly between different products from same family
    • capitalizing & re-using from NPI to NPI independently of Test Engineer on duty
    • transferring easily from a plant to another
  • Optimize total cost solution (NRE & Cycle Time)
  • Deliver Manufacturing test package on time

  • Propose/develop new innovative testing solutions (test obsolescence, increase automation, lower cost, faster, more reliable)

 

Main Activities:

  • Define Manufacturing Test Flow Chart
  • Gather Product Manufacturing Test Specification & synchronize project team stakeholders on same page
  • Design optimized, reliable, reproducible (endurance testing) & generic test benches
  • Use generic tools & common way of work to ease re-use & backup within the team
  • Specify and track test benches ordered externally
  • Follow internal processes to ensure quality level is under control (PSRR, repository storage, ...)
  • Support, train & transfer to local factory Test Engineers
  • Analyze FGR/Pilot build reports and take appropriate actions to ensure FPY reach expected target

 

General Activities:

  • Provide regular & accurate activity status on Redmine (log events / progress description / issues / schedule ...)
  • Perform peer reviews for strengthening team reliability
  • Ensure documentation consistency
  • Store deliveries, documentation, results, test sequences on our official repositories
  • Relies on our internal processes to master quality of our deliverables

 

Candidate Profile :

  • Graduate with medium HW & medium SW skills. Generalist profile
  • 10 years post-graduate experience in R&D, designing HW features and/or developing low level driver,
  • Low level development experience on DSL, GPON, WIFI, DOCSIS technologies is a plus
  • Experience of SW development over Microsoft Visual Studio using C#, .NET framework, Visual C++
  • Knowledge of Linux system, including scripting Bash, Python, Perl
  • Knowledge of networking basics (DHCP, Proxies, GW’s, Routing..)
  • Knowledge of security basics (PGP, Certificates, keys..)
  • Having some Industrial testing skills/ experience & possibly last up to date techniques is a plus

 

  • Able to travel to APAC/LATAM
  • Capacity to behave positively in stressed situations
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication capability are required
  • Intercultural work ability (with French & US & Chinese & India teams) needed
  • Fluent English required
