Director - Product Management

Job Description:

Technicolor seeks an experienced Product Management professional to lead defining of solutions roadmap, covering a wide range of Connected Home’s Cable and Telco Broadband Gateways for the worldwide market. The ideal candidate will grow Broadband  market share by locating, developing, defining opportunities to sell Technicolor’s market leading Broadband CPE for NSP and adjacent markets.

 

In this challenging role, in Broadband Product Unit, you will be responsible for working with team members to define roadmaps associated with DOCSIS, Fiber, xDSL, WiFi and 4G/5G Gateways that are sold in the Service Provider market. You will also need to work with the Connected Home Sales teams in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia to identify the leads and pursue successful business opportunities.

In this position, you will be expected to:

  • Discover, explore and develop opportunities to sell Technicolor’s Broadband Gateway suite .
  • Screen potential technology providers (SoC-Partners, SW-partners, etc.) by analyzing the market and having a thorough understanding of the applicable technologies.
  • Drive the product roadmap to address the target segments and opportunities of the market in the business plan.
  • Prepare responses to RFI's, RFP's and tenders.
  • Be the customer-facing voice of the Product unit. Engage with CxOs at customers and pitch the product value-proposition.
  • Work closely with Sales team to secure new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and supporting with the right product roadmap.

The successful applicant will display the following:

  • A comprehensive understanding of Product Management, Business Development and Marketing principles.
  • Proven record in defining and selling embedded NSP-CPEs to a wide range of customers.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to take initiative when working alone; takes a structured approach with the ability to develop a plan of attack for researching and identifying customers to target.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills to a high business and technical level.
  • Confident presentation skills.
  • Proven time management skills, with ability to self-manage and prioritize workloads.
  • Ability to set and execute both long and short term goals both individually and in a team.
  • Travel, mainly to customers and trade shows, will be required

 

Industry Experience: 10-12 years of industry experience as described above.  Prior experience with Product Management in NSP market is a MUST. Experience in working with large NSP/MSOs is preferred.

 

Minimum Required Education: B.S. in Computer Science or a MBA is required.
