Senior Server Administrator

Technicolor is looking for an SME/admin in Windows Server Administration. This position is located in Bangalore, India, but will cater to global needs in dozens of Technicolor’s corporate locations.

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a technical expert in the area of Windows System Administration, including Citrix and Vmware.
  • Installation, support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring and performance tuning of all windows server architecture(s) including Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016.
  • Must have experience in the following Windows Server technologies:
  • Active Directory Domain Services
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Patching and Update Services
  • Event logs
  • Windows Firewall
  • Group Policy Management
  • Failover Clustering
  • System Center Configuration Manager
  • LDAP
  • PowerShell.
  • Perfmon and Process Explorer
  • Terminal Server
  • IIS
  • AntiVirus
  • CIS policies
  • Must have experience in the following Citrix technologies:
  • Storefront
  • VDA (Server Install)
  • Studio
  • Xenapp
  • Xen Desktop
  • Netscaler
  • Citrix Cloud
  • User Profile Management
  • Receiver installed on client machines
  • Must have experience in the following Vmware technologies:
  • ESX and troubleshooting parameters like TOP, IO, CPU, memory balloon, resource management.
  • vCenter setup and configuration of Single SignOn.
  • Management of versions 6.5 and 5.5.
  • Upgraded hosts in a clustered environment.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (port groups, VLAN’s, dSwitch, HA/DRS, vMotion etc).
  • Must have a basic understanding of Storage (NFS/CIFS), SAN (Fiber Channel/iSCSi), other Hypervisors (HyperV/KVM).
  • Experience in Exchange will be considered favorably.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Should be a fast learner, work with vendor Tech Support as a last resort.
  • Must have the ability to document changes and store in a centralized location.
  • Must have worked in an Incident Management tool and follow company policies in Change Management.
  • Must provide regular updates to management on accomplishments, issues and progress.
  • Avoid working in a bubble, engage with stake holders to gather requirements, understand pain-points and develop solutions.
  • Be open to assist in other areas and learn new tools like Solarwinds, and various flavors of Linux.
  • Ability to discuss issues and prepare/present Root Cause Analysis to a varied audience.
  • We are building a team of Follow-The-Sun model, will need to work rotational shifts to cater to global needs.
  • Will be part of a global OnCall team.
